Every Aurny pattern is honestly labeled with one of four skill levels, defined by the specific techniques required — not vague terms:

Beginner — You've learned the basics and want your first real project. Chain, single crochet, slip stitch, working in rows, basic increasing and decreasing. Some inconsistency in tension is expected and won't affect the result.

Easy Intermediate — You're comfortable with the basics and ready to learn one or two new techniques. All Beginner skills plus working in continuous rounds, magic ring, invisible decrease, colour changes. The pattern guides you through anything unfamiliar.

Intermediate — You've completed several projects and feel confident with standard techniques. All Easy Intermediate skills plus shaping, assembly of multiple pieces, surface crochet, working with multiple yarn weights. This pattern moves at a steady pace without hand-holding.

Advanced Intermediate — You enjoy complex projects and don't mind referring to external tutorials for specialised techniques. All Intermediate skills plus complex construction, cables or textured stitches, fitted sizing, advanced assembly.

Every pattern lists its own materials — yarn weight, yardage, and hook size — in the "What's inside the pattern book" section, so you'll know exactly what to gather before you start. Finished measurements are included too, so you can check the size before you buy.
